How to Drop Items Off

IN-STORE

You may drop off consignments Sunday thru Thursday at any time during store hours.  We will go through your pieces while you wait, and return items to you that we decide to pass on. Please give yourself time for us to go through your items.  Sometimes the store is busy, or if you have a lot of items it may take us up to 30mins to do. We will email your consignment receipt to you as soon as we check the items in (please note – this may take up to a month…we get a LOT of drop offs). We also require that you keep drop offs down to a single bag (30 items or less)

You must sign our official consignment agreement before we can sell your merchandise.

BY MAIL

For a limited time, you may also consign by mail.  There are some important restrictions regarding this method.  Please note that we can not send items back that we decided to pass on.

ANY TIME

We accept items at any time.  Want to bring us a winter coat in June?  No problem.  We will pack it away and put in on the floor in October.  Your consignment period will begin the day it’s put out for sale.

HOW

Once we have your items in hand, we choose those we think our customers will love.  Items we don’t choose will be handed back to you.  We’re sorry, but we cannot return them to you by mail.

Your Share of the Profits

You receive 40% of the final selling price of the items you consign with us. We will send you a check each month, or you may pick up your balance in the store at any time.

We price our merchandise at a 50-80% discount from current retail prices.  Prices vary based on the condition of each item.

We keep your items on the floor for 60 days.  We do our best to sell your items at full price, but they may be marked down on or about day 20 and day 40.  At the end of a selling season, they may be put in a promotional sale.  Your consignment split is based on the final sale price.

If An Item Remains Unsold

We work hard to make sure all of your pieces sell!  If, after 60 days, some of your items have not sold, they will be pulled from the sales floor.  You have the choice to donate or pick up these items.

If you would like to donate your unsold items, you don’t need to do anything—we’ll take care of it.  We love to support our community by donating items to children and expectant mothers in need!

If you would like to pick up your unsold items, there is a little bit of work involved. On the 60th day of consignment, log on to www.myresaleweb.com to see if any of your pieces remain unsold.  Often, you will find that everything has sold, or that you will be happy to donate the few things that did not.  If there is a piece or two you would like back, call or send us an email and we will pack and hold those items in the store for 5 business days.  We’re sorry that we cannot send expired items through the mail.  They must be picked  up in person.

Please note!  It is your responsibility to keep track of your expiration dates.  We do not have the capability to send you any alert or notification. The expiration date of each item is clearly marked on your consignor receipt, or you may check the status of any item at myresaleweb.com.

Unsold, un-retrieved items become the property of Clementine Consignment.  We donate most of our unsold children’s items to Room to Grow.  We donate most our unsold maternity items to various shelters, depending on need.  We do reserve the right to donate unsold items to other organizations or use them in special sales.

Consign for a Cause

Don’t need or want your 40% of the profits?  Prefer to share that money with people in need?  We are thrilled to tell you about our Consign for a Cause Program!

When you drop off your items, you may choose to donate your share of the selling price to a philanthropic organization.  Currently, we have consigning accounts set up with The Children’s Aid Society, P.S. 41’s PTA, The Korean-American Family Association, and First Presbyterian Church.

Sending your profit to these organization is easy—just let us know you’re interested, and we will send your monthly check to the organization of your choice in your name.  In return, they will send you a donation record for tax purposes.

We can only consign for those non-profits with whom we have existing agreements.  If you would like us to add an organization to our list, let us know and we will work to make it happen!
